Orange Basketball to Play Defending Champs as a Part of 2012 College GameDay

The Syracuse Orange Men's basketball team will be featured on ESPN's College GameDay this season. Pete Moore, the Director of Athletics at Syracuse University, tweeted today that the team will get this opportunity when they travel to face off against the defending NCAA champs, the UConn Huskies.

Many Orange fans were disappointed with this decision. Syracuse hasn't been featured on GameDay in the Dome in a couple years and a lot of people thought the SU-Georgetown game would be a perfect time to bring Jay Bilas and his crew back to Central New York.

Dana O'Neil analyzes the game and asks questions like, "Has Scoop Jardine become the floor leader the Orange need him to be?" and "Who's picked up the scoring for UConn now that Kemba Walker is gone?"

While I would have rather had the Georgetown game at home be featured on GameDay, I'm happy that Syracuse can still be part of the show. It will be a great time to show the nation what the color Orange is all about.
